For assessment of neurocognitive conditions, I use therapeutic approaches, such as ADHD and learning disabilities, rooted in science, utilizing both subjective and objective measures. I’m not one for labels, but I am a stickler for diagnostics.

I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I also have a Master’s and a Doctorate from Pacific University. I am trained as a generalist, which means I can treat a wide variety of mental health issues across the lifespan. I have a specialty practice in ADHD, assessing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, grief, couples, and working with professionals who are experiencing occupational and stage of life transitioning.

Through a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation.

Danny was referred to me by his school counselor, and through a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation, we determined that Danny had been struggling with ADHD the whole time. Equipped with this information, we helped him develop better executive functioning skills and start on a small dose of medication. Now, he’s able to keep up with school and feels more confident in his abilities every day.

For the first 20 years of my career, my practice was primarily, though not exclusively, pediatrics. Recently, I have shifted my practice focus toward serving young adults and adults. Still, I have my expertise in working with pediatrics.

Our first session is really just a chance to talk and get to know each other. You can share what’s been going on, what you’re hoping to work on, and ask questions. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. Most people don’t! My goal is to help you feel comfortable and understood.

Lasting change happens when you correctly assess the problem.

I’m considered an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, you will receive a “superbill” – a receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I know that process can be confusing, so I’m happy to walk you through it.
